Subject Re Card Conversions (was Trumpeter's Future Plans - Model Kit)

JSC of Poland recently released a 1400 scale waterline paper model of the Gneisenau (#072) with two complete ships. You can built the original
straight bow, Atlantic bow and the never-completed 15-inch gun version. The part sheets can make excellent patterns for sheet styrene, especially if you don't like the printed colors.

See http//www.jsc.pl/en/index.php for the home page, and http//www.jsc.pl/en/catalog.php for the listing. A photo of the completed 15-inch version is there.

There's also a 1400 scale "Grossdeutschland", the H-39 design (#075).. (Yes, the publishers do admit that "Grossdeutschland" is an unlikely name for this ship.) I question the camouflage colors, but if you're simply looking for patterns and templates, this might be a good reference.

In the USA, you can order JSC kits from Paper Models International. See http//www.papermodels.net. The models are listed at
http//www.papermodels.net/new.html.

 Hi All,

I am building a 1/700 Hornet (Doolittle raid) and I would like to know what the proper colour scheme of the camo, any help would be appreciated.

Also, I have a collection of ship crests if anyone is interested in trading, I am trying to thin out my patch collection. Please contact me off list.
Thanks,

This was something that I sussegested to Airfix, but they did not know where i was coming from. It is so simple really, make one of a class, make different frets for the rest add new boxes and you have a new kit. I asked Airfix about their KGV. You could say the same for Leanders, Type 21s, Ajax, the list goes on and on. I can not see the point of more Bismarks and the like as there is so many of them about. Thank goodness for Kombrig and their affordable resin kits.

Subject Re 1/350 Korean War-era Jet Fighters and Helicopters

>> I hope someone out there can help - I have tried in vain to discover whether anyone plans to manufacture 1/350 scale Korean War-era Jet Fighters (F9F-5 Panther, F9F-8 Cougar, F2H Banshee) or Helicopters (H03S Sikorsky Dragonfly, HUP or H-25 Piasecki Retriever) to supplement the Trumpeter ESSEX class carriers? Does anyone currently issue these or plan to do so?

 Fingers firmly crossed, <<

Nautilus Models has a set almost ready to go, just trying to get some white metal casting issues worked out - otherwise they;ll be resin.
