Subject Re Card Conversions (was Trumpeter's Future Plans - Model Kit)

>> JSC of Poland recently released a 1400 scale waterline paper model of the Gneisenau ..... See http//www.jsc.pl/en/index.php for the home page, and http//www.jsc.pl/en/catalog.php for the listing. .....

 There's also a 1400 scale "Grossdeutschland", <<

David makes a valid point about cardstock models that reflects on the current thread "what I'd like to see from Trumpeter in 1/350th." It is that
most of these ships that people would like to see in plastic already exist in cardstock form. Out of the box these paper models can become creditable examples of the modeling art. With some creativity (using sheet plastic for the formers; using the computer to recolor and/or rescale the models, adding modified gun and radar configurations) you can literally create unique models of just about any ship. You may have to learn to use Photoshop and/or a CAD program. This is all good stuff to learn because it has job potential as well as hobby usefulness.

The point is that you do not have to wait five years for Trumpeter to release (maybe) the USS XXXX that you yearn for. It exists now if you want to go out and grab the moment. And for a lot less $$$$$ then what these ships may cost in plastic (or resin). I too appreciate a Trumpeter Essex in 1/350th, and I have one. But the massive choices available today in cardstock is a remarkable awakening.

Going mad about ill-fitting parts i would appreciate to take a glance on the plans...

Are you, or you, or you over there able to scan and mail me a copy?

my adress is. u.brow at t-online.de
 (replace the "at" with @)

 Many thanks in advance
