While they are not yet showing the Sub kits, Alanger has a US Distributor, and will sell direct.

From <robert.morvan@sdc-dsc.gc.ca>
Subject SS Canberra

My family immigrated from France to Canada in 1954 on the SS Canberra. A search of that name on the internet shows picture of a modern vessel built in the 1960's. Where can I find information on the original ship SS Canberra?

Anything you can do to piece together this part of our history would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bill. You're right, these look extremely good! The Typhoon has the correct stern on it! I wonder who will distribute these in the US & Europe (& Oz, of course!)

Subject SSN 21 propulsor

 Hi SMMLies

Tom is right, take a look at the MK 48 torpedo. the propelling blades are a different count but it will give you very good idea of the shape of the Seawolf propulsor blades excluding the propeller itself.

Subject ORP Piorun

 Hi Piotr

To further expand Tim's information Piorun's colour schemes were as follows.

 4 Nov 1940 - 1942 MS4 Pennant numbers white
1942-Sep 1943 Western Approaches Scheme White and WA Blue Pennant numbers black
Sep 1943-Jan 1944 Admiralty two colour disruptive scheme G45 and B30
Jan 1944-Jun 1944 Two-colour scheme with B30 stern and stem. Rest of ship G45 Pennant numbers black
Jun 1944-Dec 1944 Home Fleet emergency destroyer scheme G45, B15 and G20 Pennant numbers white
Dec 1944-Feb 1946 Overall light grey G45 Pennant numbers black

Note these dates are provisional. My book The Kellys contains a lot of photos illustrating these schemes and if you can find a copy this would be a good place to look.
