If I don't hear any other theories, I'll go with a red. Thanks again! Rupe ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Hank Lapa" Subject Re Scorpion Thread The reduced maintenance test was directly contrary to the Rickover scheme of Navy nukes. I would hate to have been interviewed by him during that period. BTW, one of the gals in my OCS class was his personal nurse, and thereby under his zealous protection, for a while. And then there's the seedless grapes . . . ! OK, back to model issues. Hank ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From "Peter Samolinski" Subject Re ADV/Azimut 135 Schnelleboot I don't know the pecise quality of that particular kit, but I've had their armor kits and was sadly disappointed due to poor/lacking instructions, so-so quality (end of run?) and high price; plus, they used to be practically impossible to get a hold of. For that kind of money I'd want to make sure it was buildable and had good quality castings. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) From "Francis Macnaughton" Subject Model Shops in Amsterdam Greetings SMMLies I am visiting Amsterdam next week and would be gratefull for advice on any worthwhile model shops in the city. Many thanks Francis Macnaughton ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) From "Petr Haluza" Subject HMS Victorious - decks Hello, does anybody know, which decks were used near by safety nets on the end of flight deck? I mean british war ships (WW II) HMS Ark Royal and HMS Victorious. Were they made in one piece (steel) or with holes, perforated or made from wood, etc.? Is there any photo of them? Thank you, Petr Haluza ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the SMML site for the List Rules, Reviews, Articles, Backissues, Member's models & Reference Pictures at http//smmlonline.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Volume
