Like Annette on the Mickey Mouse Club, the Revell Guided Misslie Fleet gift set was one of those things that those of us of a certain age lusted after in the late 1950's but never attained. http//www.revell.de/en/products/model_kits/services/international_toy_fair/webcam/index.html?&L=1 Other reissues include the B-47, Convair Tradewind, 105mm Howitzer, Jupiter C, Sport Fishing Boat, Oriana liner, cutaway Boeing 747 and Boeing SST. No news on actually when all this is going to happen but its remarkable news considering how we gave up on the Norton Sound ever seeing the light of day. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) From "Will Noble" Subject Re Revell U-Boat dive system From "Gregory Turek" >> Thanks to John Reid for advice on model boat article. Managed to buy this mag at Hobbyco, a large hobby store in downtown Sydney. Interesting article, however I really want to control depth with water ballast via pump. I'm at the final stages of sealing the mech inside hull with small access panel for battery charging. Inside hull I've fitted PVC tube as ballast tank with graupner 12volt pump to control water movement in and out of tank. If anyones interested can give detailed description and progress details. << Dear Greg I posted on this recently, so I won't bother with the verbiage -- I'll just refer you to some very fine vendors who've already licked most of these problems 1. http//www.engel-modellbau.de/catalog/? 2. http//www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category/400/Motors.html 3. http//www.rcboats.com/ Lastly, some forums which are of great help from time to time 1. http//www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3774570/anchors_3774570/mpage_1/key_submarine/anchor/tm.htm#3774570 2. http//www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288890 3. http//www.subcommittee.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=aea9dc31010c2ad0ff3d1e4b8e96bac7;act=SF;f=21 4. http//rc-submarines.com/r_c_subs.htm Cheers! Will Noble Portland, OR ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) From Reynold.Oh@defence.gov.au Subject Revell's 1/72-scale U-Boat & S-100 E-Boat G'Day SMML's, 1. The Local Hobby Shop bloke (in Sydney, Australia) reckons that Revell has/will cease production of their 1/72-scale Type VII U-Boat and their S-100 E-Boat. Is this fact or fiction?
